about cypress data view

a guy From Wall Street & One question that would not let go.

What if the decision intelligence that Wall Street's most powerful institutions have always relied on could be built for the mid-market companies that drive the broader economy?

For years we watched two worlds operate side by side. On one side, the most powerful financial institutions on earth making decisions on information that was trusted, fast, and precise. On the other, great mid-market companies navigating the same consequential decisions on information that was slower, fragmented, and often assembled by hand.

That question would not leave us alone. So we answered it.

Cypress Data View brings the decision intelligence that Wall Street has always taken for granted to the companies that need it most.

Our Mission

We spent years building bond and derivative trading systems on Wall Street. We managed the teams who architected them. We understand what institutional-grade decision intelligence looks like, because we built it.

We founded Cypress Data View when we realized mid-market companies were competing with 2-day visibility delays against competitors who could monitor performance in real-time. The intelligence gap wasn't about capability—it was about access to the same infrastructure investment banks use.

We exist to close that gap. And right now, timing matters more than it ever has.

the founder

Charles K. Gonzales — Founder

Charles, “The Professor,” spent nearly three decades at the center of institutional technology and finance. JPMorgan Investment Bank. Technology Chief Administrative Officer at Merrill Lynch. Chief of Staff at MetLife Investment Management. Vice President of Sales and Engineering at Cantor Fitzgerald. Global Award Winner – Singularity University Global Grand Challenge for Disaster Resilience while he was at NASA. He built and sold a telecommunications company to Softbank.

Across those institutions, he watched two kinds of decision-makers. Some operated on delayed, fragmented information — assembled manually, days after the fact — and made their most consequential calls without the full picture. Others had access to real-time intelligence systems: synthesized, current, and delivered before the decision had to be made. The difference in outcomes was never talent. It was information.

Mid-market companies deserve that same advantage. That conviction became Cypress Data View.

Charles wrote his thesis on Postmodern Philosophy at U.C. Berkeley.
